London Anthropology Day

image LAD 2011 credit F. Tossarelli copyright RAILondon Anthropology Day (LAD) is an annual university taster day for Year 12, 13 and FE students, career advisors and teachers.

Established in 2004, the event is organised by the Royal Anthropological Institute’s Education Department in collaboration with the British Museum and participating universities. The LAD takes place every July at the BM's Education Clore Centre.

The event aims to provide participants with an opportunity to learn more about anthropology through interactive workshops, photo exhibitions, films, talks and interacting with anthropology students and lecturers.

Universities from all over the UK provide fascinating workshops on topics ranging from forensic anthropology and mate choice to religious practices, food and body image. The event is free but advanced booking is required.
