Camden Aim Higher Day
Every year in February, Camden Aim Higher organises an event as part of a national initiative to encourage young people whose families do not have a history of higher education, to apply to universities. The aim of the event is to show young people that regardless of their experiences and backgrounds that going to university is within their reach.
The Royal Anthropological Institute holds a stand amongst 35 of the country’s top universities, to encourage students to learn about Anthropology and perhaps consider it as a subject they would like to pursue in higher education. Last year, sixth form students from schools and colleges including Haverstock, Camden School for Girls, Hampstead, South Camden Community School and Maria Fidelis and Westminster-Kingsway College attended the day.
