Anthropologist About Town Events Blog
Anthropologist About Town is an events blog run by the RAI’s Education Outreach Programme for anyone interested in learning more about anthropology and getting actively involved in exploring the world and engaging in topical debates on global issues.
The blog is written by “Lucy,” and takes the form of a monthly diary of public events, exhibitions, films, books, radio programmes and websites concerning anthropology, the work anthropologists do and related social sciences.
Anthropologist about Town is written primarily for those who are new to anthropology or beginning to study the discipline. The aim of the blog is to raise awareness of all the anthropology-related activities that are taking place both in the UK and abroad, and to encourage people to participate in learning about the subject through various avenues.
If you are an anthropologist, social scientist, film maker, or someone who is working for an organisation that provides anthropological events and activities, please get in touch with Lucy by emailing

. Suggestions for activities to include in the diary have to be accessible to people who are new to the subject (e.g. no internal conferences that assume specialist knowledge) and be financially viable for students. We look forward to your contributions.
Sign up for free and receive the blog each week. We hope you enjoy the diary!
